On-Going Low Cost Shelter Services

Low Cost Vaccination Clinics

Clinics are held MONTHLY at the Humane Society every second Friday from 1 - 4 p.m. AND every third Wednesday from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

No appointment necessary. Please have dogs leashed and cats in carriers. Payment due at time of services. Call 708-755-7387 for more details.

Canine Bordatella $10

Nail Trim $5

Low Cost Grooming Days

Held at the Humane Society on the LAST MONDAY of each month.

Fees range from $8.00 to $35.00 depending on size and weight.

Check-in from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
All dogs must be picked up within 30 minutes of receiving phone call from SSHS groomer.

Grooming includes: bath, haircut or trim, blowdry, ear clipping, and nail clipping.

*Microchipping available for additional nominal fee.

Small Dogs and Puppies Get New Digs

Thanks to the many volunteers who helped renovate our small dog and puppy room! The room went from drab to fab in a matter of days. Walls were repainted, flooring was redone, and lighting was improved. Wow, what a difference! We invite you to stop by and see for yourself how happy the SSHS animals are in their new space.

SSHS Clinic Celebrates 1 Year Anniversary

Thousands of animals spayed and neutered, thousands of happy pet owners, and thousands of animals saved from entering shelters! All because of the SSHS Low Cost Spay Neuter Clinic.

July 27th will mark our one year anniversary and what an accomplishment! Thank you to our special funders and partners, especially PetSmart and Humane Alliance. We could not have done this without you.

McGraw Hill Helps Spruce Up Shelter

The South Suburban Humane Society would like to send a big THANK YOU to Pat Fredrickson and her McGraw Hill team for volunteering at our humane society.

During their 8 hours, walls were painted, flower beds were planted, and play-yards were prepped. These projects could not have been completed without their hard work and dedication.

And . . . . let's not forget . . . they had fun too! Enjoying time together for a very worth cause was an added bonus.
